Our Story of
Food and Faith
When the Italian immigrant soldiers returned from the Second World War they built Holy Rosary Veterans Shrine – and made this Spaghetti Sauce. The shrine, built with 14 varieties of Italian Marble and decorated by mosaic artists from the old country, reminded them of home. So did this sauce!
Our traditional recipe from Northern Italy was perfected over the course of 17 years in the Shrine’s kitchen at the base of the little bell tower, our campanella .
Blending three meats, carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms and other vegetables, this thick, yet smooth sauce has a distinct flavor. For the authentic Holy Rosary Shrine experience: Slowly warm in a sauce pan. Mix with your favorite pasta and serve with Asiago or Parmesan cheese.
